I have been living with HIV since 1994 and have been a long term relationship with two beautiful children ( well
officially one child and one adult he is 18 now) We have relocated to Nairobi Kenya to work with the team in
the global office, which is exciting and fast paced. I am super excited to be working with talented, committed
and kind, caring women. Our strength is our membership, so please feel free to write to us anytime with your
ideas, feedback and or questions.
I am 22 years and a passionate young advocate for inclusion of adolescents and young people in decision making platforms for responsive HIV programming for young people in Kenya. I strongly believe in gender inclusivity and women empowerment in every aspect, especially for the current adolescent girl and young woman whose voice may often not be heard loud and clear.
Prior to starting my new position with ICW I have been engaged various communications and advocacy work under the ‘Sauti Skika’ national initiative for adolescents and young people and most currently with ‘Maisha youth’ an initiative of the National AIDS Control Council (NACC). I have advocated for the inclusion of adolescent girls and young women in prevention interventions within the Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria where I sat in the Funding request secretariat representing adolescent girls and young women.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Communication, with a major in Electronic Media from Daystar University, in Nairobi, Kenya. I also have an interest in art and photography.
