Join the International Community of Women Living
with HIV (ICW) for a casual get together to start off the 2015
International AIDS Society Pathogens Conference in Vancouver, Canada.
We invite women living with HIV, as well as friends and local and international partners to join us to
celebrate and support women living with HIV in our global community.
Snacks and light refreshments will be provided. You can come swim in the ocean and relax!
You are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket, snacks to share and friends
that love us!

Despite the unprecedented progress in the global HIV response, HIV is increasing among Indigenous Women marginalized by poverty, inequity and
stigma. Indigenous ICW (IICW) is the beginning of an international voice of indigenous women living with HIV, joining with other chapters
of ICW globally. Come join us as we talk about how a unified voice can make change – We are the land, the land is us.

Know Your Rights is a series of members advocacy workshops that occur the second Wednesday of each month. ICW invites speakers to lead interactive and
dynamic workshops on the issues that impact women living with HIV in all of our diversity. It is part of the I AM ICW project! This month we encourage
ICW members from all regions and all knowledge backgrounds to join us on Skype for one hour to hear about the UNAIDS Strategy and how women living
with HIV can be a part of informing it.
The group will participate in an interactive question and answer period with ICW members who sit on the UNAIDS PCB who will report back to the group. The
purpose is to share knowledge and highlight different advocacy initiatives that are happening cross regionally. Also find out how you can get more
involved and supported to do advocacy on the issues that matter most to you.
We need your voices so that we can help to inform the UNAIDS process. Join us by phone or Skype!

12th International Women’s Health Meeting

12th International Women’s Meeting
The International Women and Health Meeting (IWHM) is an international forum for women’s grassroots organizations, academics, and advocates promoting women’s
health, sexual and reproductive rights. The 12th meeting organised by Colectiva Mujer y Salud with the support of the International and local organising committees will take place from October 20 to 23, 2015 in Santo Domingo,
the Dominican Republic.
The 12th meeting will be a space for women and organisations fighting for the rights and status of women to discuss, analyse, share and reflect on strategies
to improve the health of women worldwide. The IWHM is based on three fundamental principles:
- Health as a fundamental right for people.
- Equality as a prerequisite for the full exercise of the right to health.
- Distributive justice for women in the North and South.
