The Strategic Timing of Anti Retroviral Treatment or (START) trial offers convincing scientific evidence that people living with HIV should initiate antiretroviral treatment (ART) without delay even when their CD4+ T-cell count is high, rather than waiting until their CD4+ count drops.

ICW Supports the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHOT)

This year International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHOT) festivity was held in Nyanza-Kenya and in Nairobi.

About 500 LGBTI attended the event. ICW Global Staff staff, Ms. Velvin Jobiese joined other stakeholders, Ministry of Health, human rights, and civil society organizations and supporters who attended the event on commemorated annually every May 16th.

Join us in celebrating the launch of ICW’s updated statement on the Criminalization of HIV No-Disclosure, Exposure and Transmission. Pushing back against the Criminalization on HIV and key populations is a priority in our 2014–2016 Global Strategic Plan. Thank you to the large team that was involved in working on this statement and to the many women who were involved in developing the original one that dates back to 2008.
